Current Community Projects

We’re bringing natural gas to four communities in 2017/18, and there are plans to connect even more by 2020.

The benefits of connecting to the natural gas system are clear for our community. Homeowners and businesses will see significant cost savings, putting money into their pockets.
Mayor Bob McMillan, Township of Perth East
Natural gas means many of our residents on fixed incomes and struggling with energy bills get access to a lower-cost fuel that is always available without having to worry about waiting on someone to deliver it.
Mayor Ken Lamming, Prince Township
Healthcare dollars are limited and increasing energy costs create budget challenges. We are thrilled that natural gas will soon provide an affordable, reliable source of energy for our residents, and these savings can be reinvested into patient care.

*Annual cost and saving estimates are based on January 2017 fuel rates for a four-person home using 1,870 cubic meters (m3) of natural gas for space heating plus 330 m3 for water heating. Estimates include a surcharge of $0.23/m3 (see project pages for specific details) for pipeline construction costs. Estimates also include the provincial government’s Fair Hydro Plan reduction for electricity.
